Do you want to be more intentional about how you embody your faith? Is establishing a regular spiritual practice something you desire, but do not know where to start? Then let me personally invite you into a life of becoming by helping you cultivate a personal Rule of life!

Often we struggle to live out the things we say we believe. Honestly, It is a lot easier to walk through our lives confessing beliefs rather than seeking to embody the beliefs we say we hold in our day to day lives. It is even harder to embody what we say we believe when we lack a guide or have no idea how to develop a daily spiritual practice. That’s where a rule of life comes in! As long as our faith remains nothing more than a list of ideas or dogmas we offer mental agreement with then we will never learn to embody it into the world. That is why I have developed a course to help guide you through the process of cultivating a personal rule that will aid you in embodying your faith in the day to day rhythms of your life!

I’d like to introduce you to Sacred Rhythms: An Invitation Into a Life of Becoming, a step-by-step online course that walks you through the processes of crafting and cultivating a personal Rule of Life!

What exactly is A Rule of Life? And why should I even have one?

A Rule offers ‘creative boundaries within which God’s loving presence can be recognized and celebrated.’ It does not prescribe but invites, it does not force but guides, it does not threaten but warn, it does not instil fear but points to love. In this it is a call to freedom, freedom to love.
— Henri Nouwen

Essentially A rule of life is a commitment. A commitment to try and live your life in a particular way. It is the product of prayer, personal reflection, and discernment. A rule is a tool that can help you enter into a well-ordered life by partnering with God in recognizing and cultivating a regular spiritual practice.

The English word rule sometimes tends to have negative connotations! But is actually derived from the Latin phrase regula which meaning “a straight piece of wood,” or “a ruler.” But for me (since I am a bit rebellious) it has helped me to try and understand rule more in terms of the sacred rhythms that guide my day to day life. Or more specifically to recognize a rule of life as a signpost that serves a guide as I seek to live out and embody my faith into the world around me.

The first people to establish a Christian rule of life were the Desert Mothers and Fathers who were an early monastic community of hermits and mystics who chose to live in the Egyptian wilderness during the third century AD. The most well-known rule is that of the Benedictine monks developed by St. Benedict that was created to help guide monks of his community in learning to embody their faith in the regular habits and rhythms of their shared day to day lives.

We live in a society obsessed with goals, tasks, to-do lists, and of course New Year's resolutions. If you looked at our society, you might think we would be better off calling ourselves human-doings rather than human beings! A rule of life is not like resolutions or goals at all. It is not even some fancy hyper spiritualized to-do list. A rule is a tool that invites us into a life of becoming through fostering in us a faith that is lived out in our everyday lives.

Through cultivating a rule of life, we seek to become more intentional about what we allow to shape us as we journey through a life becoming who we are.

Sacred Rhythms an Invitation into a life of becoming won’t be launched until Ash Wednesday (March 6th).

The course will be $100 at launch but since I am doing a pre-sale I wanted to do something fun and allow people to get the course at a discounted price! But rather than having a standard discount, I’m doing something even more fun!

The price is starting at $25!

Yep! That’s right!

75% off!

BUT After each person buys, the price is bumped up by one more dollar.

The longer you wait, the more the price will increase. The first person gets the bundle for $25, the second person will pay $26, the third person pays $27, the fourth buyer gets the course for $28!

Oh! And one more thing! Did I mention there are only 50 spots!?

As much as I would love to have 1,000 people pre pre-buy my course (I do have a family to feed after alI! 😜) I have decided to cut the sale off at 50 people! One of the most important things to me about offering this course is being able to make myself available to help you cultivate your personal Rule of Life! Which would be a lot more difficult with 75, 100, or even 1000 participants!

So… that means even if you are lucky person numero 5-0 that you will still get the course for $75 aka 25% off the full price!

Pre-Sale Starts In T-minus….
